Hey, it’s me!
I've always been interested in the visual arts and began my photography career after finishing my degree in professional journalism at the University of Minnesota and moving to California. In San Francisco I began photographing events, performances and fashion shows as the photography intern at the internationally famous Supperclub, San Francisco. From there I ventured into the realm of fashion photography and continued to photograph weddings, learning from other photographers and artists around the world along the way. Today I am a proud member of PPA (Professional Photographers Association) and TCPPA (Twin Cities Chapter), as well as a member of TCWEP (Twin Cities Wedding & Event Professionals). Continuing education and growth in my art is EXTREMELY IMPORTANT to me, so I’m constantly learning and experimenting with different techniques and photographic styles.
Other random facts about me:
🌱 As a kid, I wanted to be an ecologist or environmental scientist. While that didn’t pan out, sustainability and caring for the planet still shape a lot of my everyday life.
🎬 I’m the friend you want on your trivia team—I’ve got a memory bank full of movie and TV quotes.
🌸 I’m obsessed with fresh flowers (freesia and peony are my faves).
🎧 My taste in music is all over the place—from Led Zeppelin and Eric Clapton to Lauryn Hill, Third Eye Blind, Aesop Rock, Fall Out Boy, Ke$ha, Linkin Park, and Florence + the Machine. But music has always been important to me.
🎨 If I had to pick another artistic medium, it’d be pastels.
💛 I have too many favorite colors to choose just one.
😍 Harrison Ford has been my forever celebrity crush.
🐧 And yes—my spirit animal is a puffin.

Is a reflection of my brand, The Feisty Atelier.
An atelier is a physical studio workspace, currently being built by my husband, Doug, and myself in St. Louis Park, MN. I wanted to give this long-planned studio space a unique and bold name that fits the spirited luxury brand I’ve built.
At The Feisty Atelier, I specialize in bold, editorial, and luxury photography that captures the essence of each person, couple, and family with timeless elegance. Rooted in high-end artistry and storytelling, my approach is a seamless blend of candid emotion, refined details, and high-fashion sophistication.
When complete, the space will be my office, a meeting place for clients to review photos and prints, as well as a photography studio. I cannot wait to share it with you!
