Should we get engagement photos, even if we already sent out Save the Dates?
I always recommend having a session with your wedding photographer before your wedding, for several reasons. The biggest reason for most is that you have an opportunity to get comfortable being in front of the camera. The second is that you can learn what to expect in terms of direction and posing. Finally, you can also review the photos from your engagement shoot and provide feedback to your photographer if there are things that you love, or would prefer not to repeat for poses. Overall, it builds up confidence in who you have helping you on your big day!

Can you photograph in dark indoor venues?
Absolutely, I use a combination of small lighting devices to help illuminate you on the dance floor and in other dark settings. If you want to see examples of the venues I've shot, click here or shoot me a message at hello@heatherhanson.photography

Do you have liability insurance?
Absolutely and we’ll be happy to provide your venue with a proof of coverage.

What Equipment do you use?
I use professional Canon cameras and lenses that money can buy and always bring backup equipment.

If you’re a fellow gear geek, here’s my list of toys:

Canon R5 (mirrorless) & 5DSR Canon 70-200mm II f/2.8 L Canon 135mm f/2 L Canon 85mm f/1.4 L Canon 50mm f/1.2 L Canon 35mm f/1.4 L Canon 24-70mm f/2.8.
I also bring lighting to ensure consistency in the style of photos you expect from me, as well as to add creativity to your images.

What do we get after the wedding?
Along with your digital gallery of edited photos delivered via weblink, you’ll be able to pick from a variety of print and album options, or print your own. Clients receive 8 x 10” image files for smaller printing and a personal-use print license. Hi-res images may be purchased at an additional cost.

How many photos will we get?
I strongly believe there is a difference in "quantity vs. quality". I aim for a minimum of 700 quality images in an 8-hour wedding session. I never guarantee a specific minimum or maximum number of photos though, as each session is geared to each individual couples needs.

How long does it take to get our photos?
2 weeks for delivery in Engagement Sessions, 4 - 6 weeks for delivery in Wedding
